How you can advertise on VolResource web pages and email newsletter.
Make a payment or donation.
We provide basic listings (mainly on the Service Provider section) to organisations that are of interest to, and are interested in, the voluntary sector. By providing these for free, we can protect our impartiality and editorial integrity. Any paid-for advertisements are additional to the basic entry.
Appropriate adverts (or sponsorship) have a place in providing more information to our audience, value to those placing them plus giving us income to help run and develop VolResource.
This isn't the definitive statement, as we try to be flexible within our policies.
Our weekly email newsletter reaches a wide range of voluntary sector organisations, which have signed up to receive it in their inbox. It is keenly read by key individuals in frontline organisations and sector support bodies, many of whom would be difficult to reach in other ways - see some readers comments. It includes a Diary section, and sponsorship as well as advertising is accepted. Standard entries fifty pounds, discounts for multiple insertions, and a lot less for diary listings where they fit the format.
"I've just seen the advert in the e newsletter, it looks great and we have had a positive response already." - January 2006.
From January 2006 we have placed GoogleAds on nearly all pages across the site, including the connected Blog. These should all now have 'Advertise on this site' links - follow it to find more details of how Google targets adverts placed through its system to match the content of the page being viewed. This appears very effective, and lets us get on with other things!
There is also a 'banner' style advert just below the head section on most pages. This currently (Jan 06) defaults to the Firefox/Google promotion, but it can be replaced across the site or on individual pages with your text or small graphic advert. Rates depend on various factors, so ask for a quote
We can also discuss additional information/graphics to accompany an editorial entry as long as it fits within page and policy constraints.
As well as the diary section on the email newsletter, we have an Events Listing section on VolResource web pages. Conferences, exhibitions and other events run by voluntary organisations are featured free, while there is a small charge (from £25) for commercial organisers and for 'regular' training courses. Combining this with a newsletter entry is recommended.
Sponsorship of a web section, or new facility, is also possible. Contact us to discuss current options.
